He angitūtanga: About the Role

Reporting to the Manager - Programmes, Architecture & Testing, the purpose of this role is to lead a team of Business Analysts while ensuring the delivery of high-quality business analysis services to support organisational objectives. This role:

  • Builds and maintains a high-performing team of business analysts who excel at understanding stakeholder requirements, analysing complex business problems, and translating business needs into robust and effective technology solutions.
  • Provides high-level technical expertise, planning, scheduling, mentoring, and embedding consistent and up-to-date business analysis practices in the team.
  • Creates and supports a business analysis centre of excellence that is valued across the TEC.
  • Facilitates the investigation of new initiatives and ideas.
  • Fosters collaboration between technical and business stakeholders.

He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for:

This is a core customer-facing role and requires a team leader with a strong customer focus and the skills to readily build relationships and knowledge across the business. You will bring the following:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in business analysis roles, with at least 2 years proven experience in building and managing a high performing team.
  • Strong experience in requirements elicitation, business process modelling, data analysis and solution design.
  • Excellent understanding of both traditional and agile project methodologies.
  • Experience with relevant business analysis tools and technologies.
  • Strong customer service and business focus and able to build strong relationships with the business.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Advanced facilitation and negotiation abilities

The salary range for this position starts from $125,813 up to $148,015 + 3% KiwiSaver depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
