We are currently recruiting to 2x Senior Business Analyst roles to be part of our Business Analysis team in TEC's Information Directorate. Both roles are strictly based in Wellington. 

Mōhiohio: Information Directorate

The Information Directorate delivers the ICT infrastructure and information tools to support the business and develops data, data products, information, and new tools for colleagues, customers, TEOs, and other agencies to support TEC's invest and champion goals.

He angitūtanga: About the Role

This role requires someone with a strong customer focus who thrives in an environment of change and transformation. In this role you will be:

  • Working in both project and Agile continuous delivery environments you'll be responsible for analysing and documenting requirements and facilitating workshops and design solution sessions.
  • Helping your stakeholders understand their business needs and the implications on our processes and systems.
  • Working on business modelling, feasibility assessments, process improvements, options analysis and/or business case development.
  • Working closely with architects and developers as they design, build, and deliver solutions to our customers.
  • Supporting the investigation and introduction of new technologies into TEC.
  • Supporting other BAs across the organisation to help build a centre of excellence.

He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for:

We are seeking someone with a broad set of analysis skills and experience, and the ability to apply them appropriately in a variety of circumstances. You will bring the following:

  • Broad technical background and knowledge.
  • Extensive experience in business analysis, covering (ao) requirements analysis and definition, business modelling, feasibility assessment, process improvement, options analysis, business case development. And able to apply this experience by selecting the appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Significant experience in solution development lifecycles and detailed knowledge of agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • A strong business focus and the ability to articulate needs and requirements from a business point of view.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • A disciplined, systematic approach to work with an ability to prioritise, meet set deadlines and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Ability to communicate effectively so developers and other project team members have shared understanding of delivery outcomes and approach required.

The salary range for this position starts from $104,653 up to $123,121 + 3% KiwiSaver depending on demonstrable skills and experience. If your salary expectations are outside of this range, we would still welcome an application from you.
