We are currently recruiting for one permanent Data Analyst position at intermediate-level within TEC's Data/Development team.
He angitūtanga: About the Role
This role reports to the Data Analysis Lead and is part of a wider Data/Development team made up of Data Analysts and Data Warehouse Developers at varying levels of experience. We have access to a wide range and growing data. We also provide advanced tools and technology to utilise this data. This is a great role for an individual who can understand and translate business data requirements, making a difference in the life of the learners and tertiary educations.
- Working across business teams to ensure requirements are gathered and clear, then working with the information and insight teams to meet the requirements.
- Providing advice and supporting the implementation of changes to the TEC data products and processes, supporting the development.
- Designing and maintaining data models and data standards, master data, reference data, metadata and definitions.
- Providing the day-to-day support to TEC business teams in data analysis and problem resolution.
- Champion effective data management framework, metrics, processes to ensure consistent applications in all projects and enhancements.
He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for:
This is a great opportunity for someone who has some solid experience as a Data Analyst who is looking to be part of a collaborative team.
- Experience in transforming business requirements to data requirement, data modelling and design, data analysis and profiling.
- Knowledge and experience of data management concepts including master data, data quality, metadata, data integration.
- SQL, Python, or other relevant programming skills.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, ideally Azure and Databricks.
- Continuous improvement and innovation mind-set.
- Experience in working with multiple teams across an organisation to deliver quality work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Well organised, thorough and conscientious and attention to detail.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively.

The salary range for this position starts from $90,956 up to $107,007 + 3% KiwiSaver depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
