We are currently recruiting to one permanent Senior Data Analyst position within the Data/Development team based in Wellington.
He angitūtanga: About the Role
This role reports to the Data Analysis Lead and is part of a wider Data/Development team made up of Data Analysts and Data Warehouse Developers at varying levels of experience. We have access to a wide range and growing data. We also provide advanced tools and technology to utilise this data.
- Be a Subject Matter Expert in data requirement gathering, logical/physical data modelling, data analysis and data profiling
- Providing expertise in translating business needs into data warehouse design
- Engaging with customers and collaborative groups to ensure needs are understood and business value is realised
- Provides advice and guidance to others using the data structures and associated structures
- Support the Data Analysis Lead to deliver on the run and improve deliverables that are driven from the data warehouse

This is a great opportunity for someone who has good experience as a Senior Data Analyst who is looking to be part of a collaborative team and mentor others. If you are looking for your next step in your Data Analysis career, this is a great opportunity with room for development and growth. You will bring the following:
- 5+ years' experience in Data Management, Design, Data Analysis in various roles
- Proven experience using an agile methodology is critical, including Kanban
- Manages the investigation of enterprise data requirements based upon detailed understanding of information requests
- Uses advanced SQL skills and case tools to facilitate data modelling
- Very strong customer service orientation with excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Strong experience in data modelling—both logical and physical—for traditional databases as well as modern data platforms such as data lakes and Delta Lake
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, data transformation, and data modelling workflows
- Working knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts, and how they can support analytics, insights, and decision-making

The salary range for this position starts from $104,653 up to $123,121 + 3% KiwiSaver depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
