Job Description

At TEC - Te Amorangi Mātauranga Matua, we're a small Crown agency with a big job: helping New Zealanders gain the skills and knowledge they need for lifelong success and leading the Government's relationship with the tertiary education sector.

 

We are looking for a confident and professional Receptionist to be the welcoming face of TEC and the Commerce Commission to Join our Business Support Team. This is one of two key Receptionist roles that help to create a great first impression by providing high quality reception and support services.

 

TEC's Business Support team is responsible for empowering the wider organisation through effective and high-quality support services.

 

This Receptionist role is a full-time, permanent position based in Wellington.

He angitūtanga: About the Role

You will not only make visitors feel welcome but also provide general office administration support to keep things running smoothly.

  • Deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers - in person, on the phone, and via email.
  • Manage meeting room bookings and ensure spaces are ready for use
  • Keep our reception and office areas tidy, professional, and welcoming
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail care
  • Arrange and coordinate travel bookings to ensure smooth journeys for our team.

We are looking for a candidate that genuinely enjoys delivering outstanding customer service, meeting new people every day, and are happy to help out with different tasks when needed. We are seeking someone who is:

  • Client-focused, organised, detail-oriented, and experienced in a reception or similar customer service type role.
  • Skilled in general office administration, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • A strong team player who enjoys supporting others and contributing to a positive workplace culture.

The salary range for this position starts from $54,905 up to $64,594 + 3% KiwiSaver, depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
