Aramahi me te Haumi: Careers & Investment Design Directorate

The Careers & Investment Design Directorate (CID) is responsible for developing strategies, initiatives and policies that enable the organisation to effectively and efficiently meet its goals in the areas of careers and investment.

All teams in the directorate are focused on work that develops, leads or contributes to the design of these strategies, initiatives and policies. They are responsible for developing the interventions and plans off those strategies, and then marketing and communicating the integrated view of what TEC wants to achieve. The basis of our work is the horizontal work model and so the CIDD teams work in partnership with teams from other directorates so the design and commissioning of new products and initiatives is a collaborative process that ensures successful implementation and delivery.

 

He angitūtanga: About the Role:

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Careers & Investment Design, this a secondment/ fixed term established T3 role, that is responsible for maintaining a centre of expertise for content, design and product ownership for TEC channels.  

  • Leadership of the teams in the Products and Channels group (content, design, product owner)
  • Lead the product roadmap development for Tahatū, the TEC website and Inspiring the Future website as well as other key products as needed.
  • Close collaboration and relationship with the Engagement Group to ensure that brand guidelines, key messages and audience insights are applied consistently across channel design and content creation.
  • Supporting the governance of TEC Channels by representing the current status, risks and issues to ELT, Board, Steering Group, Working Group to ensure that concepts and options are socialised and communicated well for timely approvals to meet the work programme for the team.
  • Enabling more resource/skill sharing, building a centre of expertise with consistent processes, having a focus on content of all the TEC channels, creating a long-range plan for Tahatū and other TEC channels and their future years of development.

 

He kōrero mōu: What we are looking for:

You will be responsible for three teams: TEC Content Team, Tahatū Content Team and Design Team, as well as a Product Owner and a Business Support Administrator. We are seeking an experienced leader who can maintain the high-performing team culture and knows how to effectively commission work and allocate resources. You will bring the following:

  • Leadership experience (including programme management) in product or web channel management
  • The ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues within and across different Directorates.
  • Strong understanding not only of how web development works, but also how web channels are promoted and used by different audiences such as business to consumer and business to business channels. Experience in leading teams, developing a high-performance team culture.

The salary range for this position starts at $164,299 up to $193,293+; however, this is negotiable depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
